BIBLE STUDY
Scriptures: Ephesians 6:10-18.
Vs.10: For the rest, my brothers, be made powerful in our Master and in the might of His strength.
Question: How are we made powerful in our Master and in the might of His strength?
Answer: We are made powerful by the Holy Spirit in us. It is nourishing, empowering, leading, and guiding us into all truth. If we allow it to lead us, we will experience grace, power, strength, love, joy and peace.
Question: Am I experiencing all these things now?
Ans.: Not all the time. But I can feel the gentle tugging of the Holy Spirit calling me to righteous living and holiness.
Question: How can I make my walk more consistent and meaningful?
Ans.: By studying and applying more scripture and truth into my consciousness. I believe this will work. By praying more fervently. Following the Spirit’s lead. I know it is speaking with me all the time. Yahshua is giving me instructions. I have to be more attentive to His voice. He will speak what He has already given me in scripture.
Believers need to establish something of a routine as far as this is concerned. For example, go to bed 9:30 pm, wake up 4:30 am, Bible study around 5 am – 6 am.
We also become powerful in the Master by putting on all the armor of YAHWEH. Vs. 11: Put on the whole armor of YAHWEH for you to be able to stand against the strategies of the Devil.
Question: What is an armor?
Ans.: A defensive covering used in battle.
Question: How do we put on all the armor of YAHWEH?
Ans.: Because it is a spiritual armor we have to put it on by faith through prayer. We need to pray and ask the Father to give us the understanding and wisdom of what exactly we have to put on and how we are going to use it. Remember that we have to use it in the evil day but I guess you use it whenever you need to. So, every morning we must be aware to have on the armor of YAHWEH.
Question: What are the strategies of the Devil?
Ans.: We can become aware of the strategies of the devil simply by looking at the armor of YAHWEH and the weapons of our warfare. The first piece of armor mentioned was the belt of truth. The truth is used to conquer lies. So, we see that the first strategy of the devil is to fill our hearts and minds with lies. In the book of Genesis chapter 3 verses 1-21; The scripture says Satan, the devil, used a lie to deceive Eve, Adam’s wife, and lead our first parents down a road of sin and death.
Since then, he (Satan), has caused mankind to submit to his lies (which are all contrary to Elohim’s word) leading them astray unless they turn and accept the truth of Yahweh and His Holy Spirit.
In the beginning Yahweh Elohim said, if you eat of the fruit that is in the midst of the garden you shall surely die. That was the truth. But the devil came to Eve with the lie that if she ate the fruit, she will not surely die but her eyes will be open to know good and evil like Yahweh. But like all mankind after her she was carried away with her lust for wisdom and food and she did die eventually.
This device of using lies and the strategy of leading man into lust for power, material things and riches is the first strategy the devil uses on unsuspecting humans. The second piece of the armor of Yahweh is the breastplate of righteousness. This protects our heart and chest area. In the spirit the righteousness we possess belongs to YAHWEH. We are the righteousness of Elohim in Messiah Yahshua.
The opposite of righteousness is sin so the device aimed at our heart is sin. The enemy tempts us to sin by appealing to the old man in us. As a believer we must keep our hearts with all diligence (Prov. 4: 23). The enemy is always trying to discourage us. Trying to make us think things are worse than they really are. Sending thoughts and words from people and spirits around us to attack our hearts which should be founded in grace, peace, joy and contentment in Yahweh.
In order to protect us from sinning, also, the shield of faith is important. Fiery darts are being thrown at us all the time so we must lift up the shield of faith to quench them. Whatsoever is not of faith is sin. So, we must agree with Yahweh’s word at all times. We must believe He is working to bring His word to life in our lives. For example, his word says that we have everlasting life now. Therefore, death or sickness cannot rule in our bodies. We know it is appointed for us to die once but our souls and spirits will live on in Yahweh’s Kingdom hereafter.
The Armor of Yahweh
The first piece of armor is the belt of truth, (vs. 14). “Then stand firm having girded your loins with truth”. Our loins are located in our physical body just below our waist. When we gird it, we tighten the belt around the garment worn to protect our private parts and upper legs. In the spiritual realm the reproductive organ that we are protecting is our mind and consciousness. We have to gird it up or keep it alert with truth. The scripture says YAHWEH’s word is truth. (John 17: 17). However, it is possible to be reading the bible all day, every day, and still don’t know the truth. (2 Tim. 3:7).
Question: But what are the loins of the mind?
Ans.: That is the part of the mind that reproduces the truth. The spirit of the mind, it has to be renewed, (Rom. 12: 2). So, some thinking, meditation has to take place in order for the truth to become known to us.
When our minds are protected by Yahweh’s truth the enemy will go through his strategies one by one. If he realizes that he is being resisted with one he will attack another part of the anatomy. Or use other strategies. But we must be prepared resist with all the armor.
The second piece of armor is the breastplate of righteousness. (vs. 14) “…..Put on the breastplate of righteousness”.

For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly,
But of the power of Elohim leading us to victory,
Demolishing all of the strongholds of our enemy,
Creating peace and harmony and in us full unity.
Verse 2
For our conflict is not with flesh and blood as you see,
But principalities, and all those who are in authority,
With the possessors of this dark world and with evil spirits,
That are beneath heaven but we know we shall get our justice.
Verse 3
So, we put on the armor of YAHWEH to stand against all this,
All the strategies of the Devil and we will resist him,
And in the end, we will see that we are always prevailing,
And we will know the truth in YAHWEH by this song we’re singing.

Then stand firm,
Having girded our loins with truth,
We put on the breastplate of righteousness,
And we’ll will be ready for His justice.
Our feet shod,
With the good news of peace and love,
The good news is our preparation,
We will be ready for this mission.
Above all we take the shield of faith and use it,
The flaming dart we will quench it,
We put on the helmet of salvation,
And with the sword we will overcome.
No weapon formed against us shall prosper,
We are more than conquerors,
Every tongue that rise against us,
We will condemn and be victorious,
Yahshua is the one that’s giving us strength,

And above all we’ll fulfil our mission.
